Sorry Deadweight, but part of our freedom is freedom of religion. I am not a Christian but I AM an American. Religion has nothing to do with being an American. Plenty of non-christian soldiers have also lost thier lives defending this country.

I agree....served with a few...my post was not meant to demean or bash non- Christians,
but merely to point out what is happening in our country.

I have no problem with anyone's belief, but why do the new comers feel

Its okay to be proud of where you came from, but be an American First!!!!! Some of us paid service or life so that young man could fly his American Flag!!!!!

This isn't the first time this thread has been posted, and for me, it still holds true.

I am a Veteran, 21years in the Navy. I pledge MY allegiance to the Flag, and to defend it against ALL enemy's foreign & DOMESTIC.

I BOLD'ed the words that are IMPORTANT for a reason. We have to remember that sometimes we have enemy's right here amongst us. Those enemy's are typically people who are afraid to be American and to protect it and our rights against those who protest our rights.

The school board thought they were being unfair to the kids who flew the Mexican Flag on Cinco De mayo and felt that this kid was being rebellious by flying the American Flag.

By law the American flag is to be flown ABOVE all other flags in the USA. The teachers and school board should have reminded the other students of that when they flew a Mexican Flag in the USA.

Saw the first clip when it happened. The second one, apparently, did not get the same national attention. I'm glad the kid will get to proudly fly his flag. With all of the "Zero Tolerance" crap going on in most school districts, it's apparent that common sense has long flown the coop.

At first, I did not notice the religious component to this issue. But then I, when I watched again, they mentioned a Mexican flag controversy. Then it became obvious, since (at least around here) most Hispanics are Roman Catholic.
