I bought a set of Hard Krome 3" Res-Tec Drag Pipes from BrianG. They were in pristine condition and packed to perfection.

With a great amount of instruction and help from Pop Rivet they are now on. Actually he did most of the work! Civilized at cruising and will bark when fed some juice - the pipes I mean, not Pop .

We did the AIS thing at the same time.

The bike seemed to perform better, I'm not sure if it's in my head or not!

I sounds louder so it must go faster.

You need to put on an after market intake and then watch it wake up.

Hmmm .... I remeber that colour .... nice.

I'm really glad you like the pipes. I did think they were a great compromise between acceptable cruising volume and still a nice roar when you get on it. And they are a great-looking exhaust. I just got it in my head that I wanted to try the Doolies so here I wait hoping against hope they will ship in a reasonable time. I have got to say I'm not very happy with Stage 3 compared to the HK's. Mostly for fun, I drilled out my stock pipes before putting them back on and now wish I hadn't. Bike runs OK but power is definitely down from HK's, I am suffering from backfire I can control by throttle management but not dial out, and the sound is a lot milder than I expected. But hopefully it's a short-term situation.

Enjoy your new pipes!
Brian
