A beautiful Fall weekend forced us to ride :) 3 Years, 2 Months ago
Temperatures in the 70's and clear sunny skies gave us the perfect opportunity to get out and ride both dayd this weekend. Thought I'd share some location shot around our area. MODERATOR: IF THIS TYPE POST IS NOT PERMITTED ON A "TECH TYPE" FORUM PLEASE DELETE.

The photos are taken in New Hope, PA...Washington Crossing PA (Bowman's Tower)...Lake Nockamixin PA and at the Van Sant Airport in Upper Bucks County PA...

It really was a beautiful Fall weekend here in PA, hope you enjoyed the tour! Thanks for looking...

Regards, Ted

You're not premitted to rub it in.

You lucky guy.

In my area, except for the odd tree (usually yellow this year), most trees have lost their leaves.

Enjoyed the pics Ted but try to reduce the size as they are much too big. I'm running 1024x768 at work at still had to scroll back and forth. A resolution to fit 800 x 600 may be more appropriate for most people.

Thanks,

Doc

Doc--

Sorry about the size of the pics! You can just delete the post as I have no way to mass resize right now...

Thanks Gram! Do you have some software trick that allowed the mass resize or did you do it one by one (I hope not)?

I edited your post Ted.

Each photo has a set of tags surrounding it, that are square brackets with a lower case url in them (the second also has a slash). In the first set, which marks the beginning of the photo, you can also put in a size for the phote. The syntax is size=xxx . In the case of your post, I added a size=600 to each one.

This does not resize them, they are still the same size. It tells the browsers reading the photos to render them 600 pixels wide. If you go back to your post like you are editing it, you will see what I am talking about.

It took about a minute

Hi Ted,
We had the same conditions here in Upstate New York. Even got some great night riding in Saturday nite. If you are interested you can get a free image edit software at http://www.photofiltre.com/ , click on the english version then go to downloads. In the software you will see a tab labeled Tools under that will be a tab called Batch you can then edit groups of images in the folder you choose anyway you want including reducing the size. I use it all the time to reduce the sie of photos that I import from my camera.

Ted, What a guy, not only do you know how to pick a weekend, but you know how to preserve it. The pictures are great!! Being origionaly from Florida, and now living in the beautiful Southwest, I have always wanted to ride in the Northeast in the fall. Thanks for sharing with us all what it looks like from a bikers viewpoint. Wish I could have been with you. Wishbone

Thanks fellas, for the technical assistance, software advice and kind words! If it wasn't for the freezing rain, the Northeast would be a great place weather wise, even considering the snow But that freezing rain...oh brother...makes my bones ache just thinking about it

I agree.

I lived most of my life out west. It was cold but didn't have to deal with snow one day, rain the next or even worse, both together.

Sure make winter driving an 'experience'.
