Review of Curts lowers 1 Year ago
I just did a test run with the set of lowers Curt sent me. First off I'm a large guy 6 foot, 260 pounds and I have a goatee. The beard is important determining factor, it is my measuring stick for turbulence. I ride a 05 RS with a factory windshield and no crash bars. Now to the ride. Weather was in the 60's, it snowed last Friday. Montana weather. The lowers worked great. Usually my beard is being blown up in my face, not now. They cutoff about 80-85% of the buffeting, BIG difference. I will have to wait till the weather cooperates a little more for a longer ride. I have to give a big thanks you to Curt. He was great in answering all my questions and the satin finish looks great with the lower legs. So, if you want to quiet things down, BUY THESE!

Awe c'mon mkayx, the guy's a sloucher, works an hour a day, usually while he's eating breakfast, can't work in the shed cause it's raining outside, quit's work before dark, starts after daylight, jawbones with the trim from down the street, and you sit there and encourage this sort of behavior

I can second how well the lowers from Curt work. I just finished a set myself following Curt's instructions. They WORK great!! I have an 03, no enging guards with a MS bat wing fairing and they have stopped enough buffeting and wind that I can hear my stock exhaust at 55mph. I could even hear my cell phone ring in my windshield bag. Most of all I can stop wear my ear plugs (for the wind noise).

I'll say it again, Curt's lowers are the real deal. They make a huge difference and are solid as a rock. But, Curt, maybe you aren't my best new podna, wassup with the girl down the street?? You didn't introduce her to me!!??!! I'll definitely be back...for some wrenching, of course!!
