I've never heard of a rider's bell. I guess it's not a bad thing to have. I usually don't put too much stock in superstitions but since it seems to be a pretty hot topic maybe it's not a bad idea. You need all the help you can get out there!

jerryt70, I have a couple in my saddle bag, send me a PM if you need a bell. The only stipulation is you have to give one to another biker to keep the tradition going.

I have a luck charm - a keychain from my girl when I got my bike. Constant reminder to ride safe.

Is it considered an OK practice to get your own bell, or should it be gifted? Cause if it's supposed to be gifted, I may never get one. I'm a total bastard.

I didn't bother to read all 407 posts to this but I will reply. Where I work we sell those bells. When people ask me if they work my reply is "If you can believe in a little bell then Jesus Christ should be easy for you."
