I wear standard Levi's. Why? Any bigger flare in the leg and this can happen.....imagine back in the day, think kickstart lever.

I once got on and drove off and unknown to me my pant leg had gone over the lever. At the first stop sign the whole intersection got to see me do a slow el-roll-o to the right when I tried to put my foot down. As I lay under the bike leg still caught I have to say i enjoyed the laughter since it was funny as hell.
That was like watching my friend's wife who thought she was cool as hell with her clip on bike pedals..... until she forgot they were there and she came to a stop. It was like watching a cartoon, or just someone really dumb. It was like.... stop..... tiiiiiiiiimber!!!!and she went over on her side screaming like she didn't even try to catch herself.

hahaha i always love mountain biking with my friends when they first setup up to clipless pedals... good for a few timbers... been there done that.

I've never really had a problem with my pants riding up if I'm wearing my jeans, but when I'm not a good pair of chaps always saves them from riding up

Wearing skin tight pants works for me and judging from all the looks I get I must look great in them suckers.

And that's why I don't wear lace up boots any more while riding. I had a real close call with a tangled up lace.

My .02 cents on this pant thingwould be to sew a couple of buttons either on the outside or inside of the pants and use a wide elastic that you can replace any time and you'll not lose the buttons.
It may work, I just never got around to trying it out.
