Scootergirl and I did a 9/11 "ride to remember" Charity ride Saturday, it was 100 miles with 3 stops. The last stop was a block party down town Green Bay. Silver_fox was there too, but I didn't see him once we stopped at the end, I think he split off.

The official count was 364 bikes with over 500 total riders. we literally doubled the population of some of the towns we stopped at.

Nope, I didn't split off. I was parked one row in front of your bike. I was there for about a 1/2 hour and then took off home to meet up with the wife. It was a good ride. Glad to see you two.

Yesterday I rode to Boon Docks in Lakeland, FL for the Bobby Rolls memorial benefit. About 240 miles round trip.

Today I did this: http://www.memorialrun911.com/

They expected 5,000 bikes this year, I haven't heard how many were actually there. Another 200 miles today.

Both were nice rides even though I got caught in a frog strangler of a thunderstorm on the way home yesterday.

Wont you watch over me while Im riding today
Send me down an angel to keep me steady on my way
Cause you know that Im not perfect
Im in need of some salvation
In the meantime let me ride in peace
Through this beautiful creation

Local HD dealership sponsored a 9-11 memorial Patriot Ride: very well done and 340 participating bikes of all kinds...first big HD ride that no one, not one, gave me any stink about not being on a harley...

Beautiful sunny day, mid 80's: stopped at a local fire station to lower the flag, folks out on their lawns waiving, some vets saluting, some shedding a tear or two...

Good ride...while still remembering all those that aren't here to enjoy...

Not much to look at, but the facebook video catches the group pulling out:

Went on a 9/11 PGR Memorial ride last night. Rode the last 50 miles home in a pouring rain, with lightning flashing all around us. Would have been beautiful with only the lightning.

Had a short but good ride this afternoon. Went down thru Roaring River on hwy 112 to FF and over to 76 and went into Eureka Springs the back way, then down thru town to stop for a bite to eat and back up 62 to Gateway and then hwy 37 home. Perfect day.

Thanks for asking.

I really love that area! Went down there several times to ride the Dragon and stayed in Robinsville at the Two Wheel Inn. The Lady that runs the front desk is the one responsible for getting me hooked back on the Vtwins again. I had been there several times before and the last time I went there I had to go with out a motorcycle. When we got there We asked about renting a bike somewhere. She told us of a place in Marysville, TN that rented bikes. I rented a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 c.c. and was so impressed with what technology had done for the drive ability of the Vtwin engines. One of my bikes was completely race level performance and it was a P.I.T.A. to drive on the Dragon. The Vulcan had all of the low rpm grunt you could ask for. I spent very little time hunting for the right gear to be in at this corner at this speed. Lean the bike over and roll on the throttle and go. I told the Wife "I gotta have one of these!" Okay by me she said and the rest is history. That lady has good taste in motorcycles and Men I'm told. I would have to agree with that.
