Few things ...

1. We have an administration that encourages and rewards law-breaking when it comes to immigration.

2. We have an administration that appeases the Muslim community -- jihadists or not, silent Muslims or not. My personal belief is that there are no moderate Muslims -- only jihadists and silent ones.

3. Political correctness is nothing more than a Marxist tactic to silence a harsh truth. The threat of personal attack on your reputation is equivalent to having your freedom of speech taken away.

4. The liberal media and members of our federal government have created a mindset among citizens that Americans are somehow horrible people for not allowing foreigners to come into our country and do whatever they wish. They also pose the false notion that there is no way that we can deport so many illegals.

I live in a very small country, Thailand. They preserve their culture and values every step of the way. They couldn't care less that I have a wife and children here who are Thai nationals. I am still expected to maintain a certain level of income a sufficient bank account balance and adhere to all of their immigration laws -- which includes checking in every 90 days in person to let them know that I still live where I said I lived. The day that I can't do what they require, they will send my a55 out of their country in a heartbeat -- and collect fines before I go.

There are very few countries in this world (outside of France and the UK) that have allowed foreigners to destroy their cultural norms, values and rules of law. The US media has citizens believing that we are the only ones who don't share their country's bounty. As a result, the US is on its way to joining the losers when it comes to immigration policy.

My bike is a means to escape all the bullshit that I deal with on a daily basis. People hating people over religion, skin color, political afiliation. Personally, it's bad enough that we as a people are bombarded by people (on BOTH sides of the aisle) who tell us what we should be thinking, who's to blame for our problems, etc. et al.
Have your opinion- it's your right as an American that better people than me have fought and died to protect. Express that opinion to your hearts content in the right context. But could we just tone the crap and focus on the thing that we all LOVE and that we SHARE as bikers? Really, I'm not trying to piss people off, but man the division in this country just makes me sick sometimes...

I don't see anything wrong going on here. It's in the "miscellaneous" topic section and yes we do have free speech yet in this country.

To be frank I think one of the reasons we have become such a limp noodle country is because the ones with the balls to speak up have been toned down too much.

I am 54 years old and I'm here to tell you that if either one of my grandfathers were alive today they would probably be jailed by the near-socialists in charge of this "can't really say what you want to" society of ours. Young people get weaned from our rights as the generations go on. If you bring this up to them all you get is either "radical pos" or deer in the headlights.

And why can't we be pissed off by foreigners being paid by our government to take our jobs away? And I don't care what anybody says, my opinion is that they ARE mostly filthy pigs. I will not stay at a motel that a foreigner owns or operates. Same goes for Gas stations and truck stops. And the whole 911 comment? I'm thinking a good blasting hot cup of coffee in his face would have bee the least of my response.

I am NOT apologizing for one word of this. Go ahead and disagree, that's how our country SHOULD work. Try it.

My grand parents came to this country from Germany in the late 1800's. My father served in WWI and my half brother served in WWII. Yet my grand parents had to jump through hoops to keep out of the concentration camps the U.S. had set up for German Americans (and Japanese) during WWII.
When I was a little boy growing up in the 50's I was beat up and called a Nazi more times then I want to remember.
It was because of many of the comments in this thread I was reminded of all that.
Everyone in this country have immigrants in their heritage, everyone.
Many of those immigrants, your forefathers, where shown the same hate because of their ethnic background that you are showing others now.
I noticed on my calendar that 9/11 is now called Patriot Day. That sounds like we should celebrate being patriotic on that day, maybe the store clerk felt the same way.

I think I would have clarified with the clerk exactly what he intended with his remark. If he had the guts to admit that he celebrated the attack and was glad that it happened then that's all I would have needed to hear.

Yes, I would have paid for the coffee, but then I would have left it on the counter. Why? Because I have a responsibility to compensate the store owner for my using his goods. I do not have the responsibility to spend money there ever again. I would tell everyone I knew of his anti-American views and I might organize a picket line to spread the word about my encounter and relate truthful statements about the views of the clerk.

I would also find out if the owner of the store shared the views of the clerk. Maybe he didn't know? Perhaps he gave the guy a job as a favor to someone. Assuming that the whole enterprise is a den of terrorists making bombs and organizing terror cells would be a mistake. We in America base our actions on fact, not what we think is fact. Rule of law gentlemen, it's what separates us from the savages in other lands.

And to whomever suggested that the KKK be enlisted to dispense their version of retribution for some hearsay comment needs to rethink that advice. Honestly, I can't think of even the most remote situation where I'd go to a group like that for anything at all.
