Get her dried out and running as soon as you can, Change all oils and brake fluid and you'l be good to go.

I had that happen to me years ago in CT, My old place was right up against long island sound and my pickup got flooded with salt water. That was not a good outcome

I was tracking the storm weather coming from your area to here in the El Paso, NM are because of the Ruidoso Bike Run where I'm currently at. Didn't realize you got dumped so hard so fast, WOW Good luck with drying her out, I wouldn't know where to start if that was my bike

Brake out the leaf blower or barrow your neighbors. That will dry it out and then check all the fluids. I would drain the carb bowl and see if there is any water in the oil. These bikes are really tight so you may just luck out. Hate to see any bike in water like that.

Be sure and go into the neighbor's garage when their not there and get the leaf blower, if you get caught with it, you can always blame Curt

Don't forget to pull all the lenses off the lights and W-D the crap out of the bulb sockets, the starter motor might need some attention, pull the sidecovers off and hit all the electrical bits in there as well. You get the idea. I hope all goes well! You might wanna use this stuff, it is awesome for electrical connections... http://corrosionxproducts.com/

Yep, like they said change all the fluids and soak everything in WD40. It is based on fish oil and will displace all water it comes in contact with.
If you are single I would park it in the house, turn up the heat and go somewhere else for a weekend. If you can not do that put some heaters in the garage and turn them up for the weekend and dry that puppy out
I would also disconnect the battery while it is drying, current is not good when it is all wet.
Hope it winds up ok without costing to much

Re:My bike got flooded out today 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Got the bike home and I've already started in with the wd40. I'm feeling better about it today. I looked at some other pics and it really doesnt look like the water got high enough to get in to the carbs. I'm due for a oil change, so I'm on my way to Walmart to get a filter and pic up some oil. Will check the brake fluid too. I hope to be riding by late tomorrow. Although I have a truck to drive, my bike is my primary transportation and I sure hate when it's out of commission. Makes me an irritable SOB.
hey the blower idea is good...and I got one, so the neighbors and their daughters are safe for now.

Some people drowned in that sh*t yesterday, so my soggy bike is nothing in comparison. It's all good. Got a good wash.

Might make the Cottonwood AZ bike run yet!!
