Anybody planning on going to Fayetteville, AR for the ralley? Just curious.... It starts on Thurs., Oct 4th and runs thru Sun.,Oct 7th. So far it looks like there'll be a group of about 7-10 of us heading down from the St. Charles/St. Louis area. A couple of us are planning to leave on Wed. evening, camp that night and take the scenic route thru Mo. and northern Arkansas, while the rest will be leaving at 5am Thurs. and running down the interstate (I-44). Booorrring!! Should be a good time though! Don't know how true it is, but I've heard they are expecting the attendance to surpass Sturgis. Thats crazy!!! I was down there a few years ago and from what I've heard, it's definitely outgrown Dickson St. and the surrounding area.

I wish I were going to get to go, but my only son is getting hitched that weekend . But I recieved a email through a group I ride with that the cops in Fayettevile are not going to allow any colors or pets at the rally and are going to crack down on "excessive noise", which I gather means rapping your pipes in traffic.
Yes its getting bigger , So be careful and enjoy!!!

Thanks for the heads up Maddjack. Not to worry about colors or pets, but will keep the pipes at a respectable level.
I know a few years ago when I was there the cops definitely made their presence known just by the shear number of them. But at the same time they seemed to be pretty cool about the whole thing; didn't see or hear about anyone getting "hassled by the man".
Thanks again and ride safe!

Have a blast Aaron. That was one the best bike gatherings I ever had the chance to go to.

We stopped going to the bbb every year due to all the new rules set up 2yrs ago took all the fun out of the rally!!!So watch yourself while you are there cops are now giving out tickets for the most minor things!!!!Even a saying on your shirt that they dont like can get you a ticket!!!Have fun>? Sad too it is a very nice ride to go on to get to the ralley!

Hi'ya Aaron....

Answered the other thread too. Yep, we're leaving on Wed and will spend the whole weekend there. Probably ride down to Ozark one day and check out a rally happening there. I don't remember the cops hasseling too many when I was there a couple of years ago. I have heard it's getting stricter though. Just be smart and don't get on it in town and it will be a ticketless weekend. You have a nice ride coming from St. Louis. My folks live in Springfield so we're over there or down in Branson all the time. Nice riding country.

Have a blast at the rally. I'll look for ya but between you and me and the other 100,000 bald dudes there....you might get lost in the crowd.

Hello

Just wanted to say we're headed that way too!!! We have a group of about 4-5 heading out of OKC on Friday morning and another group of 3 or so heading out on Friday afternoon. Looks like it will be a fun ride. Heading north to Tulsa and taking scenic 412 into Fayetteville. Would love to see some of you guys there!!! Going to have to shut it down on Saturday around 2:30 to watch my Sooners run up and down the field on Texas!!!! Game doesnt mean quite as much since they both screwed the pooch this weekend..but will have a beer in hand and watching none the less!!!! Cant wait to get there!!! I ve heard it is one of the best rallys all year.

If it turns out to be bigger than Sturgis it will be a real monster. I was at Sturgis in 03 and the estimate was 800,000 over the course of the week. I hear estimates for BBB are around 300,000. Still a lot when you consider it is only a 4 day event.

A buddy and I are leaving on Friday afternoon. We are staying in Siloam Springs at my dad's house. Maybe we will see some of you at the Yamaha tent, or drinking, or playing, or whatever....
