Lithium Batteries 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I heard yesterday when I went to buy lithium batteries for my camera and the woman told me they now keep them behind the counter due to them being stolen for use in making meth. Looked up this morning and wikipedia confirmed the use of it.

Those of you running them in your bikes definately will want to keep a close eye on your batteries and who knows that you have one.

It's amazing the length people will go thru to make drugs to use & or sell.

The new lithium batteries they mfg for the R* have impressive CCA ratings but at almost 3x the cost i don't think too many people will be buying them .

Thats becasue the new generation hi perf 310cca AGM batteries 2 2x-3x less cost do very well in stock setups & also in most apps with hi compression pistons when using hi trq starter & large battery cables too.

Unless someone tell's everyone they have a new pricey lithium battery in thier R* knowbody would even know it's there.

But some of the HD's that have the battery hanging out in the open or a custom bike are a dif story.

I have a Lithium Ion battery from an aircraft that the manufacturer MANDATED be removed because it is dangerous. So far, no freight company we have contacted will even take it on a truck back to Wichta. Wonder what Ellis county Meth Heads would give me for a 70 pound Lithium Ion battery that cost $38,600.00 new?

This interests me. not the meth head part but the battery removal part. Why is it dangerous and so dangerous that companies will not ship it? more info please...
