"To Breath or Not to Breath" 4 Years, 7 Months ago
Question on Air Flow: I realize that Ii she can eat, she'll run, and if she can eat more, she'll run faster.

I have a stock Road*, 2006, I have had for a month, almost 1200 miles on her now..
Gonna put the slip on Muflers( Khrome Werks) that Erizo turned me on to, tomorrow morning, so we'll making a bit more noise. I am pretty sure and ingnition module is in our future as well.

What about enhanced Air flow? I see a lot of different things out there and most look expensive.
When looking at what Yamaha provided, for air holes, and breating, ( stock) it's a wonder she'll even start without a stiff breeze.

If you're willing, Sound off, I'm Listening.

Thanks for any input here.

Flat Rock.
PS : If it helps. I am at 2400 to 5000 Ft. above sea level, ( Asheville, NC are)

Here's a way to get more air without buying an entire kit. you will have to but a K&N filter and a jet kit though.

Poormans BAK

Musky,

Great idea, thanks and makes good sense! If anybody else has any input on products available, I'd be interested as well.

Drilling out the air intake is the ticket,
Thanks again

If you want to spend more I have a BAK. You could get one. Comes with the K&N filter, Mikuni jets, Barons 6 groove needle, 4 Allen head bolts for the float bowl, and a drill bit and screw for taking the PMS plug out. It also comes with an extra clip for the needle and I hear now it has extra washers too but I'm not sure on that.

I would consider porting the intake while you are in there..

Hi, I just wanted to say that I have a BAK with a ported intake(barons) and it made a pretty noticable difference from stock. Just my .02
