What do you consider the end of a completed DAY ride?.... I don't mean that, dummy ..(necessarily blink unless it applies. And not a multiple-day road trip, just a long day-ride,
the "sun up to sun down" kinda ride.

From when you first park the bike...what do ya do? Detail wash?, quick wipe down?

I'll tell you for me, when I park, I leave her right there until next riding time. Might be 2 days might be next wknd. If I get wash time during then, great! Otherwise, she sits. Don't even cover her until I've been home for several hours.

After that I jump into the "family thing", whatever's going on.

How 'bout you?

As soon as I get home I wipe it down with a motorcycle detail cleaner and microfiber cloth and then cover er up. It takes about 10-15min and then about a 5min wipe down before I ride mostly as a through pre-ride bike check (thats how I found my rear tire was thread bare ) Then I do a through deep cleaning about once a month as I have time.

I give her a pat on the tank, thank her for a good ride and getting me back without a mechanical failure. Give her a hug and a kiss goodnight before I close the door. LOL

Yes, I'm a sick man!!!!!!!
