GRAM insert: BAK
Gram ..... bak is recognized but BAK is not.

Doc

It actually gets them both Doc, but I have the software set to only replace the first instance in either a post or an article. Let me know if you find different please. This software is using regular expressions (an advanced search methodology) in non case sensitive mode so should pick up any instance of same letter sequences. I added an insert in my quote from you that was BAK, but preceeded your text to illustrate.

I am working on it right now, as this software inserts what I put into our glossery rather than modifying what someone posted (its replacing what it finds). So if they put in BAK, it is inserting bak. Trying to change that now...

Didn't see these, but I could be blind...

JASO = Japanese Automotive Standards Organization
JASO-MA = Oil for 4-stroke motorcycles
API = American Petroleum Institute
SAE = Society of Automotive Engineers, a standard way of grading motor oils

Papatom,

...SAE = Society of Automotive Engineers, a standard way of grading motor oils...

I believe it also refers to the 'English' measurement system, as it applies to automotive stuff... for bolts, tools, taps&dies, etc.

I'm not sure how exhaustive we want to be here. I guess Gram will sort it all out, as usual.

Re:Glossary or explanation of abbreviations 1 Year, 2 Months ago
I was talking to CC last night, and what he said, surprised me. First, "mm mm mm, that hc, hp, ti, needle from PR sure puts out the hp and rev!"

He went on to say, "With my new V&H from OE, I'll need some new stuff from HF, or the witch will put a hex on me for sure. But at least me PCV isn't made of PVC." I asked him what he meant. He replied, "Well bub, the R* I got off the RSR sure needs a map, 'cause it takes so much psi to get my main man working."

"Who, ME?" I said.

"Son, you're a train rec. Why, the flatside of your head must be HOK."

So how much blue to you want in one message?

It does Randy. I came across it in a section dealing with oil, and should've mentioned it applies to the English measurement system to all things automotive. Must've had oil-on-the-brain.
