I replaced mine with the "amber/fluted" bulbs when one burnt out.
Adjusted with the low beam and run all the time...

just an opinion question, I have the 'extra' light bar on my silverado
I most often ride with those lights on, there is a toggle switch on it to turn
them on/off, but it is not easily reachable when riding.
I frequently get flashed by oncoming traffic, and there is no way I can safetly
turn them off while riding, so I keep them on all the time.
How does everyone else handle this, do you keep your extra light bar lights on
all the time? I dont want to blind oncoming traffic, but I like the extra
visibility.
On all the time... and my headlight is a really Bright LED... screw'em... they've nearly hit me more times than I care to count.
At least they see me.

I have a toggle switch on the left side of the frame right where the tank and nose of the seat meet. If I feel like reaching down and turning them off, I will, but usually if I get flashed by oncoming, I say "good, they see me ......it'll be over in just a second"....and then we pass.

I don't care if they flip their headlights at me or not
That is a little different communication here in Thailand. LOL
If someone is flashing their headlights at you over here, they are saying "I am coming and will run you over, so you better get out of the way."

I leave mine on all the time and run low beam. Behind another bike I run them off especially at night. I love the extra visability. Also run extra led flash brake lights and everyone I have ridden with, say wow those get your attension. What i am saying here is it is best to be seen than not. We need every edge we can get. Bofish

I might be wrong. But I believe that different states have different rules. Some will allow the use of passing lamps with low beam only, others with hi beams only (on all of the time). At least that's what the instructions said that came with my lite bar when I put it on. ( the instructions gave you the option of wiring the lites several different ways in order to comply with local ordinances.) I have mine set with the hi beams, and only use them ( in daytime) when I need to flash my lights to alert vehichles at any suspect intersectios .I run them full time at nite without issue.

Whatever happened to the idea of "pro active" driving? I thought that was part of "motorcycling".
I'm not wanting to start anything,I just think that as a motorcyclist,a person should try and employ a little skill in their riding. ( you don't know what any driver might do)
