Gotta love Harley guys. Especially when they are all decked out in Harley gear. Down to their sox!

You mean, Harley leather jacket,
Harley scarf;
Harley patches on their helmet;
Harley t-shirt (covering a huge gut);
Harley wallet (that's attached from the belt buckle by a metal chain);
Tight black jeans;
a big belt buckle that says: Harley;
pointy cowboy boots;
Harley socks;
probably Harley underwear;
and a mean looking grimace that the dude's been working on all day.

Give me a break. More acting and posing than a Hollywood Diva!

You have a point River. Besides if you're riding a new Harley now days there's probably not an issue with money or your really in debt. Dont get me wrong I love my Yami but I sure would love to own a Street Glide just can't afford a new car payment.

Bofish wrote: I took a ride to the leather Man shop in Lake Ozark, Mo yesterday and pulled up next to what was obviously a new Harley.It was black and pretty with no dirt or dust. Now I know we should not bash other makes and I wont, but I have experienced this before. The guy and his ladie were deck out in new Harley logo leathers, so I thought i would walk up to them and say hi. This I did saying, what a great day for a ride, reply was yup, never looking up. I continued with, new bike, reply was yup, not looking up again. I walked in to the shop and spent some money thinking another HD jerk. I ride with some very cool HD riders that would not entertain the idea of this fella joining us for a ride with out explaining proper manners. I am a 64 year old man that appreciates all who ride bikes no matter what it is and will never understan that kind of attitude. Have a great day.

YUP... is a reply back meaning {reserved} being strangers it may take time to warm up alittle, sometimes WE, have to open the door a little more in conversation, generally a cup of coffee or handshake breaks the ice. we have come along ways guys in the bikers world in the last 16 years there will always be idiots on both side of the arena: potato mashers and rice shredders. 1 reason i know OF this is, I live in their world and I am a long time Biker and i choose to not ride a HD. respect given.. respect recieved...it's a MAN thing
((( alot like most guys hate using a map and they hate being told what to do...But they use GPS and destination finders to get around when they's get lost.... now

Riding leathers: their is quite a few of us "Veteran" and 1%'s who use Loves Leather's services up in Battleground Washington, shes been there along time....and we all luv her! does not make any difference were you go to purchase goods their will always be headcases If yer willing to approach others you have to find that nuetral ground of respect...amazing how doors will open even further by using small gestures !!!!!!

And ya know what the funniest thing about this is? With the prices in the Harley dealership on this stuff, he probably paid more for his outfit then I did for my R*.

Just saying.

It's more the individual not the brand of bike they choose. I was at the muffler shop a few months back getting the exhaust done on my truck. An old dude pulls up on one of the largest chinese scooters I ever saw. He had this thing decked out with all kinds of flags and decals and it was just obnoxious looking. He pulled in the bay about 3 feet from me asking for some air for his tire. I told him I didn't work there. I then told him - Man you got that thing decked out huh? He didn't even reply, but just gave me a look like he wanted to inflict bodily harm to me. The funny thing is he shut it off and it wouldn't start back up. He killed the battery trying to turn it over and then asked me for a jump (I just happened to be pulling my truck off the rack at that moment). I gave him the same look he gave me and hauled ass. I think some people are just born with a bad attitude.

I am not intending to offend any rider anywhere 'coz some Harley riders really are scary looking, but with the V-Rod motor coming out of Germany (designed by Porsche) and their standard motor being made by Honda for a while, what makes them so special? A Badge? A bike is a bike is a bike - unless it's a Roadstar of course - it is what it is - pure Jap Genius

, that made me laugh, I would like to see where you get your information. Porsche helped design the V-Rod engine but it ain't made in Germany, the whole bike, motor included, is built in Kansas City, and the Honda made there standard motor for awhile is just wrong.
