just went to the stealers to see what a screw would cost. the screw is for the windshield,the screw and acorn nut. they wanted 6.00 for a screw didnt ask about the nut. i wanted to buy a screw not get screwed.

Your local hardware store will usually have these nuts & bolts for a few dollars cheaper and the very same item as the stealer...

 I wasn't able to find the bolt and acorn nut for my windshield. There are 2 different sizes on the bracket. I ordered them from cruisercustomizing. $4 ea. I think plus shipping. but I was sure I got the correct size. |

Kinda had the same thing happen to me. When I installed the engine guards I was shorted a bolt,nut & washer. Went to the dealer and they wanted a fortune. On the way home I stopped at my local Valley Fastners and picked up two stainless steel sets for $2.

Yah, it's kind of ridiculous. My local "stealer" charges list-plus! I went there the other day for a front pulley lock washer and they wanted nearly $9.00! ...For a fricken washer? No thanks! I'll order it online and wait. Sheesh!  |

Stealership nauiled me to the tune of $13.62 for an ignition key BLANK  !
Told me they couldnt cut the key after I had already paid for the darn thing. |
