#457669 Doc_V (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 1245 Anyone have a pair of apes lying around? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago   I love the way my beach bars look and they're comfortable around town, not to mention, great on twisty backroads, but at speeds on the freeway I feel like I'm hanging on for dear life; so I was thinking of trying out some apes for comfort on the long hauls. Nothing too radical that will work with my cables. I'm thinking maybe 10" or 12" assuming 14" won't fit without new cables? I cannot ride my bike at any high speeds without two things...windshield and backrest. I thought about using one with the beach bars, but they tend to make me lean forward, so the backrest wouldn't be much help. I specifically went with the beach bars to take pressure off my tailbone, but I want to be able to ride in a more relaxed, laid back position for longer rides.
