This thread is too funny... Had a d-bag at a local bar come up to me the other day (cuz I was sporting an Indian jacket) and start off the convo talking about how he hates jap riders... went on and on, til I told him I was one of them ***** jap riders. Dude went on to say he would rather walk than ride a ricer... and wouldn't "let" me ride with him... I just have to giggle... I ride with anyone on two wheels, and respect the shit out of the fact they opt to go cageless. Whether that be 2 days a year on a 30k HD, or every damn day on a BMW.
I ride an R* for a number of reasons, but I WILL have an HD in the stable someday as well...
To each their own I guess.

It's funny. The only H-D I have ever ridden, was a '58 Sportster, with a right foot, 4-speed gear shift. I think that was in '77. Man, was that hard to get used to.

I, of course, can't judge any other H-Ds by that one experience. I've had no itch to ever ride a Harley since.

Not brand bashing.....just rider bashing.

So I was at a local bar with a few of my buds. We were outside chatting about our bikes. These two guys pull up and parked next to us. They were all dressed in their HD gear from head to toe. As they walked by, I told one of the guys that he had a nice roadstar. He about jumped shit and hollered back that it was a Harley. I said, You’re joking right? He proceeded to inform me that he wouldn't ride a rice burner to save his life.

The bike was parked directly next to mine so you could see the obvious similarities with the exception of color and the fact that mine was a silverado. He had all the Yamaha and Roadstar logos removed as well as had the tins repainted. The only thing that had a label on it was his midnight star speedometer. I pointed all of this out to him and he still claimed it was an HD.

Super Poser…………You know it’s funny as hell when your stomach hurts so much from laughing so darn hard.

Thats funny. a lot of people think our bikes are H-D's. Now the owners are starting to think so too.

Just too funny Poor "poser" probably paid the HD price from the seller of the bike

One would have to wonder if he read any of those little pieces of paper most of find as requirments to go with our bikes? Litle things like: title , tags / registration, insurance policy, loan papers, etc. . . .

That add was awesome. Where did you see it?

As far as the looks go, I think the * family has far better lines than any Harley. If someone ever tells me "nice Harley" I'm just going to smile and tell them it's their new Star bike.

I honestly think This is the best looking stock bike on the market right now. Last year there was a nice CVO but this year, no question.

He knew it was a roadie....just trying to pass it off to the non-educated folks as a Harley. My buddy that was with me rides an ultra glide. Tears were flowing from him too. I wish I had my phone with to take a pic.
