Just to update, did a little more tweaking, polished the ramp to a high luster, tweak the magazine a little more, oiled the gun generously. The range is closed, but at this time the rounds in the magazine are cycling thru great. Cycled full magazine thru about 10 times without any issues. Hopefully get to the range in a few days to check out, but don't expect any more problems.

I carry a XD45 compact. I would hate to lose it if I were put in a Zimmerman situation. I definitely would cry if I had my Wilson or Kimber siezed. It's best to carry a reliable weapon but I would look for a cheaper weapon to carry. JMO....

I used to carry a USGI 1916 build Colt 1911but got tired of the weight. I went to a Beretta .380 and it's great but I wanted more punch and I DO love my Colts. .38 Spl 158gr Federals do enough. Since I don't want to be accused of fibbing,

The nickel & gold plate Cobra is my "Pimp Gun" and gets carried. The Blue DS is a 1974 and is LNIB w/ papers so it's a Safe Queen, the 1st model Cobra is a 1952 / antique ivory stocks and is my #1 choice (it originally belonged to a Boston Detective who had to give it up when he went into a nursing home. A relative was freaking out over having a gun around and was about to have it destroyed when I "rescued" it for $250.00)and I have it's original issue holster and the nickel Viper is also LNIB w/ papers and gets extremely limited range time.
Semi's are nice but you REALLY have to have a POS revolver for it to ever fail.
