Has anyone else seen "One Week"? 1 Year ago
I just watched a Canadian made indie movie called "One Week". It's about a young man that finds out he has stage 4 cancer and decided to live some before he dies. He does so on a Norton 850 Commando. Beautiful scenery, and a good story too.

Yes, i saw it and enjoyed it because it was filmed in Toronto and across Canada. Of course i may be prejudiced as I grew up just outside of Toronto.

In a world where halfway decent entertainment is getting more and more difficult to find, I liked it. I'm thinking it had one of those French endings though, if I remember correctly.

There was some ambiguity in the end, but you have to admit, there are not many movies out there that capture the solitude among the masses you can find on a bike, and the sense of adventure, but without being cheesy or unrealistic. Taking an aimless ride is my favorite place to think stuff over.

P.S., I've had that "WHY THE HELL WON'T YOU START!" moment myself!

Really good movie. Yes, the ending left me with something to be desired, but how do you end a story like that?

It was the journey, not the destination. This movie spoke to me as biker. A man taking a cross country ride with no destination and no schedule, that found his way home.

Ratl.

Was I the only one that thought someone should hang for that hit and run?
