After reading all these response's I think only a couple nailed it! IMHO I don't don't really think it's an issue with the mechanical ability of the bike, but it sounds like the exact same thing I experience from time to time, Rider's Anxiety. You're good to go for most of it but then all the sudden when entering a turn you have the urge to slow down quickly as a sudden fear enters your mind, and a lot of what if's. I personally think it happens to more of us than we admit (Macho Riders)but it's there. No worries Brother, plan your turns and leans well in advance and slow it down if you must, the only person we are here to please as we ride is ourselves in the end. Mine comes and goes, and I just deal with it on a as needed basis...You are NOT alone in this! Ride safe.
Exactly! It's not all the time...I look forward to every time I can get on the bike and ride. What's a real pisser is it'll hit you out of nowhere for no reason...it's like "WTF was that that all about?"
I just yell at myself, take a deep breath, and it's gone. Never had it before until recently, though, and I really believe it's due to stress and lack of sleep, as I have an abundance of both right now.
Like grumpyroger said, it's YOUR ride, so do it how you're comfortable. It's better to get where you're going cautiously than not at all...or worse yet, driving a car!
