An errant golf ball from the 14th hole on Murfreesboro’s Indian Hills Golf Course knocked a motorcyclist’s teeth out as she and her husband rode blissfully along South Church Street.-

A man teeing off at the 14th over the weekend hooked his shot, watched the ball disappear and then heard screams, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department incident report. He followed the scream to find a woman clutching her bloody mouth.

Her husband told police that they were riding their motorcycles when he saw the ball bounce across the road and near her motorcycle. There, it careened into her face. She was able to avoid wrecking her bike, but the ball knocked out “several” teeth, the report said. She was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.

An officer scoured the area for the offending golf ball and found multiple potential culprits, but, alas, he wrote, “none of which had blood on them.”

Well you know she didn't knock her own teeth out...

I used to live near a golf course. I would take the long way home because there were countless times I'd see balls rolling across the road. Wasn't even a net or a fence or anything to even try and keep rogue golf balls at bay...

I knew it happens! Every friggin time I ride by a course I think of how I golf and tense up like crazy!

I have a good friend who's a Brickie. I trimmed a house they bricked with clinkers, next to a golf course...ie on the fairway.
Anyway, He told me, when they were bricking the back, the owner had some friends over to admire the progress. He heard the owner saying how the golf balls wouldn't hit the house, because whoever was teeing off, had to do this or that Don said the guy had no sooner made this little speech, and a golf ball almost hit the group as they were standing behind the house...

Don thought this whole thing was so funny, he laid a golf ball in a course of brick up in the gable. It's still there.

I've had a golf ball bounce off the street in front of me when driving in a car before. It takes a second for your brain to process just what exactly it was. The lady is lucky all she lost was some teeth.....although, I doubt she feels lucky right now.

Damn that had to hurt, at least she kept the bike up until stopped.

hmmm, wonder if she was on a harley ... there's a joke there somewhere about harley women having not having teeth to begin with ... but i won't go there.
