Motorcyclist clocked going 193 mph on NY highway 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I wonder if he was wearing raingear...

ROSENDALE, N.Y. (AP) Authorities say a 28-year-old man in upstate New York has been charged with driving his motorcycle at nearly 200 mph on a highway in the rain.

State police say a trooper clocked Anthony Anderson of Poughkeepsie driving at 193 mph around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 87 just south of Albany — the same stretch of road where another motorcyclist was spotted doing 166 mph earlier this month.

The trooper was able to get a description of the high-performance bike and alerted nearby patrols.

Troopers eventually stopped Anderson in the town of Rosendale. He told them he was headed to a hospital to visit a patient.

Anderson was issued 14 traffic tickets, including one for speeding.

It couldn't be immediately determined if he had a lawyer.

WOW! I did over 100 once to be able to say I did it, but never again. I can't imagine going anywhere near 200mph.

I'd fight that. No way a D.O.T. tire supported that speed in the rain. I'm not defending the guy, since he's obviously a SQUID, but there are exactly ZERO D.O.T. certified tires that would support that kind of forward momentum in the rain. Call Dunlop!

I agree with JD. I had a kaw ZX9R that was highly modified and i have the t-shirt for the 200mph club from taladhega. And the street tires ya buy from a dealership are only rated for 148mph. The dot set that. But you can get race compound tires very easy. I used to run them all the time. And they are rared for 200+mph... doing this on the street is stupid. Go to a track ya noob...lol...

Hope he can spell SPLAT, cause that's the sound he's gonna make at that speed when he goes down.

Going that fast on the street is STUPID!
If you hit a small bird, you are toast. A small critter would feel like a rock hitting you. If one got hit by the wheels more than likely you are going down. It takes very little to knock you out of control on a bike at high speed.
Take it to the track and don't be a crash dummy.
