Having went from apes on the old bike to beach bars on this one I like the beach bars much better, especially with a back rest

Are you talking about comfort or handling? ...and again, keep in mind, I'm talking about twisty mountain roads, not freeways etc.

The world breaks everyone, and afterward, *some* are strong at the broken places.

I will put it to ya this way... adding apes is like adding power steering... I can ride the dragon with one hand with my apes.... and I have witness to that... right Mike?
But, the told saying goes, the bigger the bike, the bigger the bars... meaning width wise... beach bars and apes should guide about the same... height is personal preference...

I don't think anybody ever added apes with the expectation that they would handle better...
Personally, I'm willing to take the turns 5 miles an hour slower and look cool as **** doing it...
