darkside help 11 Months, 1 Week ago
Ok I have come to the point of buying a darkside tire but I can not find the 175/75/16 tire. Can anyone tell me where to order a tire. I picked up a screw driver and ruinned my rear tire. So I need to get a tire ASAP!!

Rod I saw that one too and was thinking of going darkside. That seems a little expensive though. I have 20's on my truck that are much cheaper!
Anybody know where to get a darkside tire for the rear any cheaper? Maybe a different brand or size?

Im not a Darksider, just tryin to help a brother out. I googled Austone taxi tire and got that hit. From what I have read on here from others, I think that is about the going price and that is the preferred c/t on a Roadie, but like I said, Im not a Darksider, just read a lot about it. Gonna stick with my Michelin Commander II, it sticks good and so far seeing great wear, but only about 3K on the rear so far.

$152 heck thats a good price for a tire that will outlast 3 or 4 mc tires for about the price of one.

Smokes not arguing that fact at all. Just kinda an expensive piece of rubber for the size was all I meant.
The darkside forum says 185/55r16 is a popular size.... seems a little wide to me. I did find that the 175/60r16 for the 2012 scion iq looks like it would be a good choice. I even found a good price on a runflat.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?customSizeSearch=&width=175%2F&ratio=60&diameter=16

Does anybody have an opinion on any of these?

There is a dedicated Dark Side web site, it escapes me, but goole it, that has all of the previously fitted tires, tells you what works on what model, seating pressures, mounting issues, if any, and running pressure people are using on different bikes.

Hope this helps.
