Scared 10 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Yesterday I was riding home from work. Going about 35mph on a duel lane road in heavy traffic. I felt something brush my forehead and there was a bee walking along the bridge of my glasses. I wear a full face helmet.
This is not going to be good. I closed my right eye and then I felt him go between my glasses and my eyelid. There is no shoulder on this road or place where I can pull over. About 500 yds up the road I spot a place to get off the road. I can feel the bee on my eyelid. When I finally stop, I carefully take my glasses off, still keeping my eye closed. No Bee. I slowly remove my helmet and see the bee fly out and away. The Lord was with me. And when I arrived home the beer was cold.

You are lucky! I got one between my (half) helmet strap and ear last week and he did sting me - hurt all day and night.

I wear a half shell, and for the colder days there's a little velcro insert that goes into the triangle over each ear. I was cruising a long and a huge wasp smacked me in the face right under my glasses. He then slid to the side and got caught under my ear flap and started crawling around my ear. I about flipped, but like you, no place to pull over. I went about 100 yards up and pulled intoa parking lot, unclipped my helmet, and htrew the damned thing, as i could feel him crawling in my ear the whole time. Fortunately he didn't sting me either.

Glad you weren't stung, that could have been ugly.

My pops and grandfather, and 2 uncles kept bees. I've been covered in them at times. Worst for me was being stung on the tongue by a yellow jacket got into a soda can.

Once when a kid a hornet stung my eyelid as I entered the outhouse, it swelled shut and hurt to beat hell, my great uncle put some 'salve' on it for the swelling, turned out was preparation h

And then the time helping pops with a swarm got nailed 9 times.

The absolute worst ones though are the bald faced hornets which sting repeatedly and are very aggressive, don't ask, but it involved a wrist rocket and some rocks.
