I had a Triumph bonnie along with the R/S and I sold it last year because I just wasn't using it, And any thing with an engine on it should be used regularly or problems happen.

I had to rebuild the carbs because of sitting with this new crap gas, And made the decission to sell it to someone who would ride & enjoy it

Boy, I hope that fuel system is well preserved. I've done carbs 3 times on a 750 Magna, and don't know why I was stupid enough to take on #2 and #3!

They are an absolute beast to work. Ran out of cuss words twice on the first set.

Yeah, even the Jap bikes that are normally indestructible don't take to sitting for long periods.
I agree with having to run a Bonnie hard and often to keep it running. I ran mine just about every day and not just a quick start & warm up but took it out for a 25-30 mile ride. As long as I did it was fine (other than the normal oil leaks, loose parts and loss of electric power ) The Norton was the same way, after it sat when the suspension worn it went downhill.
I rode another Buell today, a S3 Thunderbolt, and was fairly impressed with it. The two that have my attention most are Buells and the K Series BMW.

Coot had a Bonnie that don't leak or black out! I like almost everything Triumph makes.
