They also had a transmissions service for a side job. (drive on ramp in the backyard) He would remove them from the vehicle in the daytime and when she was at work. When she got home got home from work in the afternoon she would rebuild them. The next morning he would put it back into the car and pull the next one out of another car. She was one of the best trans tech I ever met. She took over when her husbands arthritis got so bad he couldn't. At first he would show her what to do, now she's even better than he was, so she says... I also had a friend in the Navy, she was a Ground support Mech, but she was VERY good at what she did. My wife ( I love her, but) won't even back up in a conversation! She feels it is stupid that they still make manual transmissions.
