Anyone out there using "Saddlemen Cruisin Slant" bags and what size would you recommend? I'm runnin V&H Longshots on my 99 R*so I was lookin at going with the jumbos figurin they could clear the pipes.....The price seems right...Any recommendations or non-recommendations? (wow...is that a loaded question???)

Don't know about the Saddlemen Slant bags but I just got a set of U.S. Saddlebags and I am very pleased with them. They are nice heavy reinforced leather easy to install and remove, have a lot of features of more expensive bags at a very reasonable price. I got the them from S&S Custom Cycles

Podar , I'm running them and love 'Em. I have them mounted to ghost-brackets, so they're not on all the time, but here's a pic (not great though) with them on. I'm using Jumbo's, enough for a modest pack for a road trip. BB  |

Mornin BB, In the pics it looks like the grill on the back fastens to the bags..did it come with them..? also  those little fish eye mirrors, are they big enough to do any good..  |

Awesome...thanks Big Bear. I was contemplating on the Jumbos or Xtra Jumbos. The jumbo's your are using look great. I'm thinkin the X-tra Jumbos might be a little too big.

No problem Podar. FB , I built the rack, which is removable , It slides in and out of its "holders" which are bolted to the Ghost brackets. It's a must have on road trips. And Yes , those blind spot mirrors are great too , quick peek , if Anything is in them , you know lane changing is a no no. I always look regardless , but It all starts with a look in those mirrors. You know how ATL. traffic is , every little thing helps. BB

M/C shops sell a bike specific blind spot mirror, they are smaller than the regular A/P store mirrors for your truck, so you still have use of the rest of the mirror.  BB |
