Shell gas 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Has anyone seen the Shell gas commercials advertising the carbon loaded up valves on “other” gas vs. theirs? I wonder if it has any validity and what if would mean for our bikes?

BB twisted my arm and made me try Shell. My bike likes it Can't say if it's because it cleans thing up so good or just because my bike runs good on it though.

I have a local Shell station, I will give it a try when I start riding regularly again.

It's also (At least around my town) a dime cheaper than other gas. A small victory but ya gotta take em when ya can.

I run Shell and Chevron both they seem to run well in mine and they both have Tecron added to keep down build up. They both won't compensate for a poorly jetted carb. Just wish that we would start getting summer gas I'm tired of crappy milage.

I get mine at a mom & pop store that has a couple pump islands in the lot. Always busy and they go through a lot of gas.

I have heard that before... summer gas vs winter. Is there really a difference?

Re:Shell gas 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
It was Preached to use Chevron (with techron) over at RSR , and I'm not knocking the advice. But.....My experience , while dealing with SVS , all the while filling up at the chevron (which is closer to my house than the shell BTW) , was that the Gas Wasn't helping. I'm not implying it was in any way the problem either. Saw the big billboards for Shell , carbon cleaning Yada , yada , yada , and thought , well , it can't hurt at this point. Now , the whole time I was tinkering with different things , carb , intake , etc....And started using Shell. Boom , bike runs better. Been using it since , actually got my "guys" hooked on it too. That's my Arm twisting Story , hope it works for you too. BB
