Road Trip To Arizona 10 Months, 1 Week ago
Got back last Saturday from a 5 day road to trip to Arizona. I went to the Titan II missile site museum and Biosphere II down around Tucson. Great time of year to be out in the desert with wildflowers blooming and temps in the mid 70's.

Bike performed great with no problems.

Gas mileage on freeways averaging 80/90 mph was around 38 to 40 mpg.

There was a couple of days of relaxed two lane back country road travel where I averaged about 70 mph and got 45 to 50 mpg. I'm sure if I would've kept it down to 60/65 I would have gotten 50 mpg.

Five straight days of at least 5 hours on the bike and never any discomfort with the stock Yamaha seat, or shoulder/back ache.

I'm always amazed at what a great ride the Road Star is. I had to pass three Semi's on a two laner and really appreciated the power. Always a head turner. Constantly get people just walking up wanting to ask about the bike. Even policemen/highway patrol at gas stations.

I sound like a salesman, don't I?
