Cold Weather Glove recommendations 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I've bought a couple of different "inexpensive" gloves at shows and they haven't worked out very well. I thought I'd see if anyone could recommend a good - reasonably priced - pair of cold weather gloves?

Dont know the brand but I use a nice pair of deer skin gloves with the snug strap on them. Very flexible and thinner than my leather, but still keep my hands warm the same. I ride down to 40 degrees and havent had a problem with them. They were around 25 bucks.

I ride in cold weather alot, I rode today. Down to about 40 I just ride with a pair of leather palmed and fingered mechanics golves I got at walmart. they work great and feel good on the grips. For temps below that I have a lined leather snowmobile glove I like to wear.

You ride with just Mechanics wear gloves in 40 degree weather??? I see myself as pretty hardcore but after about 30 to 40 miles with thinner regular gloves my fingers are frozen..

I'm not going to endorse or recommend a specific brand, just offer a buying tip.

If you are talking about a true cold-weather glove with a gauntlet, make sure, when trying on the gloves, you have on whatever cold-weather jacket you'll normally wear. This way you can make sure the gauntlet will fit over the sleeve/cuff of the jacket. I've tried on too many pairs of gloves where the gauntlets didn't or barely fit over the cuffs of my jacket, but were otherwise very nice gloves.

I rode one day this winter when it was 7 degrees out. Put on the new pipes and had to hear them.

I have a Thinslate lined snowmobile glove that are gauntlet style I bought at the dearship. They do OK but after a few miles my hands still get cold and they were around $80. I think if it is real cold the eletric like SM said would be the way to go. I ride 15 miles to work and I am cold by the time I get there. Guess my old blood is thin or I have no antifreeze left from my drinking days.

Its just a matter of what you get used too. I was outside in 40 degree weather most of the day today with just a thin wind shirt on. After the winter we have had it felt great. A month from now I would be complaining about freezing to death at these temps.
