"I" still own my 2002 1100 Shadow Sabre.
It has a little over 32000 miles now and still runs circles around the Roadie in a race.
It's a little low geared for the road but it's not a show stopper.
I added floorboards and it made all the difference in long distance comfort.
Most of it's use now comes from my kids riding along with me.
It's been a low maintenance machine.
It sounds terrible at idle but sounds good at speed and with Vance and Hines Long Shots it's louder than anything else on the road.

About 20,000 miles on my 96 ACE 1100. White with silver insets, www tires. It was a really nice color combo. Damn near maintenance free. Loved it. Wife liked riding 2-up better than the Roadie.

Sold it to the husband of a co-worker. He has managed to mess it up a bit. I offered to buy it back from him this week. He quickly took it to the dealer and spent $40 to get it running right again. I got kind of excited about the prospect of having it back as a second bike.

Wish I had a digital pic to post. Been thinking about getting a VTX 1300 as bike no. 2 (after I win the lottery).
