I agree with poprivet "One size does not fit all" Thank God I'm only 5'7"
I love my corbin seat. I have had it on there for 7 years. I will say that I don't like having to remove the back bolt to get it off but I always have a 10mm wrench in my tour pak.

Kuryakyn has the chrome thumbscrews like you are asking about for Harleys only; the thread is 1/4-20 or 1/4-28. They do not have one for metric.

we need M6 ... but again finger tight is not what I would feel comfortable with... for my passenger ...eh Honey???

If that screw becomes loose the whole seat could wobble... and than it is hard on the rest of the supports...goodbye Honey???

I think I saw the screws with metric thread in the Dennis Kirk catalogue.
The had slotted and knurled heads.
Also not cheap.

I'm 6' 2" and have the Corbin Touring seat and I love it. I have back trouble and it gives more lower support.

Re:Corbin Seat 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I guess everyone has to find what they like. I'm 6'4" and weigh a LOT... we'll call it 350.... (I'm very big boned...) Anyway, I bought the Mustang classic tour seat (without the backrest). I like the way the passenger seat overlaps the driver seat. It has always provided all of the lower back support I ever needed or wanted. My brother has a VTX 1800 with the Corbin with backrests. I drove it about 80 miles one day and hated the seat. The backrest felt like it was pushing me forward. I stopped several times and made adjustments to it, but never could get comfortable. I finally took the backrest off and put it in a saddlebag. That made it a little better, plus I didn't have to mess with folding it away to get on and off. I do say the Mustang moves you forward and at first I hated that, but told my wife I'd try it for a while (she liked the back seat). I got used to the new ride position and after break-in I can ride a full tank without any pain. (By the way my problem with the stock seat was my tailbone always hurt... I've never felt that with the Mustang.

Find someone who's got a seat you think you might like and borrow it, if possible. That's the best way to get an idea of what you really like.

I'm 6'3" and a biscuit under 300 pounds.

I have been wondering about aftermarket seats. I have not liked the Mustang seats on my buddies bikes. They push me too far forward.

I believe that any change in the seat from what you got comfortable riding on will feel like it is to much one way or the other. I had the stock seat on my bike for the last year, and now I put on the Corbin stilleto seat, when I first sat on it, I thought boy this sure does push me forward, (I'm 6'0" 225lbs also big boned) but I plan on using it for a while to really evaluate it. The stock seat was fine except that after about an hour ride my ass would fall a sleep. So I am hoping that this one helps with that, if not I will take this one off sell it on Ebay and try again with something else.

I'm 6'5" and 365 so I guess that puts me in the big boy range.I could not ride the stock seat for more then 50 miles and I was hurtin.I rode Goldwings for 20 years and always put a Corbin seat on them and loved the way I could go for 6-700 mile days with no pain.I was going to get one for my 05 Silverado but went with a Ultimate seat per a friends recomendation. At first it felt like I was way foward but found out they sell a offset bracket for the backrest and got one.Well that made this seat perfect.I now can ride 160 to 180 miles between fillups and no pain, plus the seat looks great.Like the Corbin the Ultimate is expensive but I feel was worth the $'s.
