Odo ported manifold pics 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I took a couple pics of the manifold that Odo ported. Hard to get pics inside there so this is the best I could do. One thing to note is that he didn't make any effort to smooth things out. Even on the metal.

Nice Pics, I'm holding a new stock manifold in my hand and you can see how oblong the round passage from the carb becomes as you round off the corners. Helps me visualize what I plan to do
I could not tell you the latest thinking, but in the early 1980's I did some head porting and the word then was polish the exhaust side if you want(helps prevent carbon buildup), but leave the intake side rough to prevent air-fuel separation.

When I was asking for opinions on taking my manifold to the metal I was told by all I asked not to polish the metal or worry with the rubber being smooth...Coug

Rough metal surface helps to break up the fuel dropples up finer.

And leave it rough. Smooth is a bad thing here.

If you take it to the metal, be careful not to take to much Steven. The metal inserts are a pretty good match for the heads, take too much and you will have "steps" going into the head that the air will have to go over.
