How not to tap out your pipe 9 Months, 1 Week ago
To share a little humor:
I tend to smoke a pipe and usually keep it loaded and in my pocket. If I'm at a light or stopped, sometimes I'll light it and ride with it clenched in my mouth.
Well returning from myrtle beach I felt like lighting up so I did. . Usually I tap it out on a floorboard but this time, for an unknown reason(brain fart) I tapped it out on the handlebar. embers came out and up my sleeve. I must have looked cute on the roadside shaking out my jacket. No I know you non smokers will probably have something to say, but, oh well, thought I'd share that with you.

Glad nothing drastic happened! Bet you won't try that again.

Next time tap it out on your rear floorboard,if you still have them
Glad you didn't run off the road and hurt your-self.

I think as we all get a little... uh, "more mature" ... yeah let's call it that... "mature"... We seem to do things a little "differently", even if we've done the same thing a hundred times before...
Frankly, when you started writing this... All I could picture was Norman Rockwell on a motorbike
But then... thinking about you trying to empty your sleeve of embers brought a comical image to mind...
Then I saw this picture and thought to myself... If the same thing were to happen to him... Now that would be a funny sight to see!!!

But really, glad nothing serious happened though!

Gotta love the feel of the open road with your feet up on the Highway pegs, the wind in your hair, your Kilt flapping against your armpits. 'tis at times such as these that a man can find himself
Of course any one he may happen upon can find him also

I normally just enjoy a cigar when I stop for some Java @ FiveBucks to avoid incidents similar to yours.

As far as the Scotsman's concerned ... that hot seat in the summer must be hell on the 'boys'!!!
