Soba - that actually reminds me of my rider safety course instructor. Here in TX we have the choice of helmet or not. He said we were all "big boys & girls" and he wouldn't lecture since it can easily bring about a lot of emotion when not kept in check. (btw - everyone here has done really good about keeping it in respectful discussion. ) He summarized motorcycling by explaining its all about how much risk you want to take in life. If you want NO risk then stay in your house. If you're willing to take a little more then get in a car w/ a seatbelt. A little more then no seatbelt. More...ride a motorcycle with all safety gear. More.....start removing safety gear. You get the idea.....(As the youtube link showed earlier all the way to naked).

YeeHaa......a debate!! I like my helmet, It served it's duty back in 99 when someone pulled out in front of me......

Are they "Cool"? Well , for the most part...No. Will the bike crowd skimp on anything chrome/leather/comfortable/performance related/etc.... Nope!

But we'll skimp on the one thing that Could (yes...I said Could) let us ride till we're old and grey. A Helmet.

I don't believe in predestination (another topic all together.....so please don't reply), so I wear my helmet daily , and the seat belt in the truck......But that's me. BB
