That happens to me on nearly every ride... But, for me, that's only because I'm so happy I can ride my Star almost every day!

Yes as everyone else already said they work very well. My test was if you are getting hit under your chin area and can put your arm across your chest and stop the undesired wind then Bucks lowers will help ALOT!
Every once in a while I take them off just cause.... and I usually on get one ride in before they are right back on. Also Buck is a GREAT guy and really stands behind his product.

I'll throw my support in behind all the Buck's supporter here as well. I acutally messed my neck up a bit because of all the buffeting I was getting from the wind. I thought for sure it was just to do with the windshield but the more I looked into it, the more it pointed to the lower deflectors.

I contacted Buck, sent him the money and he sent me the lowers. They definitely make a difference at highway speeds, where the buffeting started for me. I knew the worked for when my neck pain stopped!

I can't comment on Bucks... but the HD chrome ones I put on mine really make that front end wide and do they look and work great! A lot less head buffeting.

You've probably already heard enough to buy them but I'll throw this out. I had an old windshield lying around for years and I cut the two sides off and fabricated a nice fit. They have a natural curve and look good. I did it to for fun and especially to see if good lowers would work (I had OEM silverado lowers) and it's a beautiful thing and free basically. I'm keeping them on. Much better ride.

I ordered some Lexan today, showed them some pics and he is bending me some brackets out of stainless. They should be pretty easy to make. I will use some card board to figure out the angles I need to miss my fatty bars. I figure will end up with a set for about 25 bucks. The Lexan is only $15 bucks for a 12" x 12" square. .262 thick. I'll post some pics when i get them finished.

Doesn't matter how you do it. They work. Bought Bucks and installed 3 days ago and found them to be a great asset. Yes they put you in a bubble of calm air. What I fis=rst noticed was that they also got rid of the 20 lbs feet. Yup no more heavy feet at highway speed. I would nprmally feel like mu feet had 20 lbs weights on them when moving to shift or brake. Now nothing at all. My wife also noticed a difference in head buffeting. He also sent along an oil filter heat sink. Not sure on that yet but sure looks cool. Buck(Bill) was easy to deal with and very quick. Can't gp wrong for the money here. BUY NOW.

I got the ones Lakecharles did for a HD part#58121-85b. I really like the looks of them (All Chrome ) Plus they don't hit my Cobra Fatty bars.
