Best riding glasses 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
It seems like its never come up so I thought I'd recommend.
7eye (formerly Panoptx) SPF 100 series are the best riding glasses that I've ever own.
I never liked goggles cause they fogged up, were uncomfortable, and not as easy to put on as glasses.
The sunglasses or clear protective glasses (for night) put too much wind in my eye, and I got too teary.
Had them for 2+ years and they're really great.
- foam eye cup doesn't let air in your eye
- anti-fog coating doesn't get the lens foggy from your eye moisture
- photochromic lens darkens in the sun and clears at night

Got them on ebay much cheaper, but here's the company site:
http://www.7eye.com/products/motor.php

This has been brought up, but I also love the DOT helmets from carbonfiberhelmets.com.
They're thinner than other DOT helmets but actually gives you protection.

since i have a windshield a lot of wind is not a problem. I found some great looking safety glasses from a local tool supply store amber, smoke, dark smoke and clear. all for under $10.00 a piece. that way if i break or lose them. oh well, pull out the spares

Ditto that.... I have gone the $100+ a pair route over the years.... Fact is, I can't tell the difference between my old high priced Serengetties and the local $10 safety glasses I wear on the bike - both look really good and my eyes are never tired or sore... so I save the money to buy more chrome!

I bought I pair of Panoptix in '04 with my bike, the dealership gave me a discount on them. I spent big time money on them and they have delivered. If your going to ride without a windshield they get my vote. My only problem is if you get the ones with lenses that change depending on the amount of light they never get clear enough to ride at night.

Glasses?!?!?! Well, I'll, I should have thought of that...it would really keep the grit out of my eyes, huh?

I use Suncovers when wearing my specks (they are fit overs, look kind of dorky but work) and I am having a pair of WileyX made to my prescription with transitions lenses next month

Regards, Ted

As much as I would like a pair of Oakley or 7Eye glasses, I just can't force my wallet out of my pocket. I'm too used to spending $5 - $10 for safety glasses. I had 5 different pair around the garage and had to try all of them but I found one pair that are angled just right to keep the air from getting behind them.
