THIS GUY MAKES A GOOD POINT .....

This was written by a construction worker in a small town called
Smithers in British Columbia -


He sure makes a lot of sense to me! I work, they pay me. I pay my
taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order
to earn that pay, I work on a rig site for a Smithers, BC construction
project. I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have
no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my
taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one
have to pass a urine test to get welfare because I have to pass one to
earn it for them? Please understand -- I have no problem with helping
people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem
with helping someone sit on their ass drinking beer and smoking dope.
Could you imagine how much money the Canadian provinces (or US States)
would save if people had to pass a urine test to get any public
assistance? Please pass this along if you agree or simply delete if
you don't. Hope you will pass it along though, because something has
to change in this country, and soon !!!

That's a public service. Help stop the spread of disease.

That's exactly how it's billed ... stop the spread of AIDS and HIV infections.

My infectious disease background can agree with the concept but it somehow sticks in my craw. This town would become a magnet for drug addicts from all over which my local tax dollars would have to support.

I wonder if I could get some cheap rec drugs.

You're absolutely right it will attract druggies from all over. I don't know what goes on in peoples minds when they think this stupidity up. But it completely floors me when a bunch of people get together and think it's a good enough plan to fund with our money. Bet they wouldn't want (and it won't be) in their neighborhood.

Course it's a good way to get the druggies out of your area. Get the taxpayers to pay for a free drug diner somewhere else.

Well Doc, that does have it's up side, you get control of the junkies, and you can dispatch them at your leisure..
