A little upset at a buddy right now 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I got this buddy who always means well, which I also think he has A.D.D. Well I got my bike all torn down at a barn we just built, I have it in a corner away from everbodys things. Well the other night when I was out of the shop he decides to bring in an axle full of rust and greese and strip it down and repaint it. Well I have a car cover my bike and all the parts so the guy that owns the barn can do his thing, well the other guy lives with them and aint all there..well he takes the car cover off puts it on another buddies car to cover for the dust and everything and leaves my bike out in the open for all the rust and paint to hit it. Well I got there today and saw all the crap on my bike and the cover off red light came on. well I took all my tins home, and gave them a good bath, I blew them off first then rinsed them and washed them got 2 coats of wax on them so far and its not even close to being smooth anymore . This is somthing my buddy shoulda been doing out side but he said he didnt want to be alone. Didnt tell him I was pissed bout the tins, the other budy that owns the barn is gonna have a talk with him, not the first time he has done stupid stuff like this he says, so what should I do bout the paint?

Sorry to hear about your problem .... certainly can understand why you're angry.

Meaghurs has a 3 step waxing process. No 1 is the most agressive cleaner which is good for removing overspray. No 2 will do a similar job but takes longer.

find out what solvent is used to thin the paint he used,, maybe you can use it to clean things up...But be careful..and do a test spot first...and also Move your bike somewhere safe..

Yep, a good three step cleaner/wax and probably the classifieds for your own space to rent... and have full control over!

solvent to dangerous on the clear..
mequiars has several levels of cleaning compounds, their ultra cut, and speed cut, medium or fine cut will clean and polish..
3M has a micro grit compound that works nice.
Guess it depends on how heavy the overspray is and if it etched into your clear or is sitting on the surface and will just compound away.. elbow grease is time consuming but will not overdue or burn the finish. if you have a buffing wheel mount the parts to saw horse and buff away.

Good luck,
