#84670 Midnight1700 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 99 Removing Helmet when fueling? 6 Months, 1 Week ago   I've heard some say it's a law that you must remove your helmet when fueling. But, I haven't been able to find the law mentioned anywhere on the web. Only some stations say it's "Their Policy". I think their policy has more to do with identifying a potential gas-and-run than any safety situation. My $.02. You can not get many to turn the pump on without money, unless you are a regular at the station, with all the drive-offs. Thats makes sense to me. I have actually seen it done, come in with a mask in winter or helmet in the summer while I was in a station. So, in most stations, you pay at the pump and there is no need to go inside to pay. I wear a 1/2 helmet and have never take it off when filling up. One of the members of our club mentioned the law of having to remove the helmet but haven't found any proof of that law???? Maybe I'll just call the local Police and see what they say?
