Steven & Frankie
I would take $9,000.00 nothing less. If you want a break down of all that is invested email me at hardone2get@hotmail.com I can show you all the receipts that add up to over $15,000.00 invested.

I agree with Big Bear. Ride whatever. No brand bashing. What bothers me is when some of the Harley folks make comments like "Maybe someday you'll upgrade to a real motorcycle". I could have bought any bike I wanted this time and I bought the one I wanted, so lets just ride and enjoy the ride and not get into Chavy/Ford type discussions.

Actually it has been a very civil conversation, no brand bashing. Members of the clinic are very good about that, and respecting what others ride. Thats one of the things that makes this board so nice. Hd, Suzuki, Kawi, none of these are bad words. I think its great we can get honest feed back and have a discussion without brand bashing. You have ride what you want and want what you ride to be happy.

I have a friend with a 2003 100th anniversay edition, white and silver. Beautiful bike. He has it for sale as he just got a new 105th. I can't see 17000 for it, but its one of the best looking bikes I have seen. I like it better than the 105th but didnt want to hurt his feelings.

Re:Anyone secretly want a Harley? 8 Months ago
java...I agree, we have some good guys on this forum. I love all brands also. The Honda VTX 1800 is a monster bike, seems every brand has bikes I like.

Someone mentioned "trading up", I was in a Harley dealership a few weeks ago and a HD salesman said he really liked Road Stars and that the R* is one of the few bikes they will take in on trade, and he said my bike looked nice and that when I got ready to "trade up" he would do me a good deal.

I gotta say I was a bit offended And I told him that I didn't consider it trading up, only thing up would be the payment. He smiled and said he didn't mean it in a bad way, but thats how most guys riding other brands feel when they come to a HD shop.

I hated HD's for about 2 minutes then I looked at the Street Glide again and fell back in lust. I would like to buy a HD Street Glide and keep the R* and convert it to a semi gloss black, 16" ape hangered, solo seat, old school hand striped bobber with red powder coated wheels and white walls just like "newroadie" has here on the forum.

The Royal Star is great looking bike. I missed a good deal on one the local dealer here had left over from last year. I considered making the Roadie a solo seat and getting that for the wife and I. I moved too slow. I liked the electronic cruise control.
