The Philippines topic got me wondering so I checked out a Filippino (sp?) cycle forum.
Most cycles there are an avg of 125cc and 400cc are considered big. From what I picked out, if you wanted to import a Roadie it would end up being a $20,000 bike by the time you got it there. Because of taxes.

Even with all the issues here in the U.S., we have it good.

Right, 3 years ago I sent my wife a laptop pc and just the import taxes cost me $125 for a $700 pc. Thats one of the reasons that most of our pc have such cost dofferances. Most of the pc compainies have some of their parts made in Cavite PI, just south of Manila. Import taxes in and then back out make the cost so high.
