Besides, isn't riding with one hand illegal in Canuckistan?!?!?!

Probably ... and they are most likely taxing us for that privilege.

I live in Arkansas where a lot of people own bikes and their evidently all friendly because they will absolutly wear you out waving,,,no kidding. It's not uncommon around here to have a dozen people wave at you in a five mile streatch and it gets old after a while. If it's on the weekend and your on any kind of bike trail the odds are that your going to wave until you feel ridiculous. I wouldn't mind having an extra headlight with a smiley face on it that I could just flash on like the batman signal.

The two fingers down slightly spread was a sign from the old Harley guys meaning v twins forever. Back when the Japs were building in lines and triumph and BSA and some of the others were building parallel twins. Now nearly every one builds a V twin LOL. I like the 2 fingers because I ride a V twin Also. Darn it sucks to be old.

yeah when i began riding i noticed "the wave" from other bikers. most bikers round here in south ga do it, but hell most folks round here wave all the time anyway!!

i agree with the 2 fingers for 2 wheels down thing, it makes sense. thats what i do, but just because i generally wave that way anyway, except the fingers are down when on the bike.

whatever, its just a biker thang i guess. haven't ever gotten it from a scooter rider, maybe they wont pick it up. it wont be cool after that!!

I ride past the air base on the way to work. First time I had seen this littel gal. An airman in BDU's riding a scooter, wearing a pink helmet. I saw her coming toward me, so I reach over and gave her the wave. Poor thing got so excited, http://www.rjpictures.com/images/smilies/waves_smilie.gif she almost lost control of the scooter. She had this big grin on her face for a split second as she tried to wave, then realized she better get both hands back on the handlebars. I don't see her on a consistent basis, must go tdy. But now, when I do see her, I just nod my helmet to her, and she just raises her fingers off of the left handlebar. But she still has that big grin on her face.

I didn't know that--so that's where it came from. Thanks for the history lesson.
