I gotta get me into one of those 1000 mile trips yet this summer... glad you got yours, it'll make the cleanup of the bike all worth the while after a good trip like that.

Use 35 watt PIAA H3 bulbs in yer passin lamps, Those stupid offshore 55 watt H3 bulbs caused me nothin but grief in both of my YAMI bikes and one Volusia. The insides of the bulbs would fall apart and make a dead short, plus the extra heat from the 55 watters would melt the wiring behind the bulbs.

Hey, that last bike looks strangely familiar. Isnt cobalt Blue and silver the fastest color Yama makes? Thats what I heard.

PapaTom,

Sorry to hijack the thread but I was wondering if those are cobra slash cuts on your bike and how you like them. I have some on my bike and used to think they sounded great. Not too loud and not too quiet with a good overall sound. Now it's either my imagination or not but they sound a little "tinny" for lack of a better word. Mine almost sound like the baffles or a guard is vibrating. Been thinking about taking them off and looking them over for anything loose and to see if theres any way to trim or mod the baffles a little bit.

Razor, they're Khrome Werks slash cuts, so I'm afraid I'm not able to help ya with the tinny sound. Could be your baffles have worked loose. They do look similar, don't they?

You might be right about the baffles working loose but on the other hand it could be my imagination. LOL! I'm not sure which.

Also, this might sound crazy but my pipes look more like the ones in your picture than they do in mine. Mine are not nearly as "jointed looking" as they look in the picture.
