Agreed. assuming they weren't having a 'prayer meeting' it does make one wonder what they were up to.

I have seen quite a few around me. I like them myself, use to catch them as well as a few food items stick them in a clear container and watch them stalk their prey

Those things can get pretty dang big too. Seen a few about 8 inches long and bigger around than my thumb i bet. But average i would say is 4-5" long.

I use a single walking stick (hi tech aluminum collapsible) when I backpack!
