Re:Glad I didnt go to PNW meet and greet. . . 3 Months ago
According to my mother (passed on on 01/24/2013) I would have been # 3 child, had she not lost two previous. The doctor told her that I was a abnormality when I was born , judging by previous history. After I was born, (+ @3 yrs.) came six other children ( 2 brothers, three sisters- including identical twins, then 2 more brothers). My siblings sometimes claimed that my mother gave me preferential treatment over them... the miscarriages may have accounted for this claim, if true. Your decision to be with your wife through this ordeal is a testament to your love for her and your unborn child. My prayers (for what they're worth) are that the two of you continue your love for one another, and that your further attempts to have children are successful. When they are born, it might be insightful to let the succeeding offspring know of the elder sibling that didn't make it. I'm not a psychologist , but allowing them to know of this missing piece of your family, while ensuring the surviving offspring know that you two love them all the more, may help cement the bonds of unity in your family. Should further pregnancies be medically impossible, if you still want more children, there are many abandoned and orphaned children that NEED a family. Again, My prayers (for what they are worth) are with you and your wife, as well as your two boys.

Good that you followed your gut feeling and stayed with your wife.
The loss of a child is hard to imagine if you have not been through it personally.
Faith and time heal. You will never forget, nor should you.

I wish I could say something to make it better, but we all know that's not possible. The best we can do is pass along our best wishes to you and your family.
