Anything interesting happen this year? 1 Month ago
This year, rode the big bore 108 ci Road Star alot. Got use to the Barnet clutch and will be practicing the maneuvers in the parking lot intensely next year. Turned 61 and getting cranky at people exhibiting stupid behavior.

Cronic fatigue flared up with muscle/joint pain alot this year. Lost any ambition to play live shows on drums as I am really really tired of the drama musicians bring to the table. As far as the instrument goes, I mentally work out drum patterns daily for relaxation.

Lots of ocular migraines and retina started to detach in the left eye. Nothing serious so far.

I appreciate each day a lot more than before. I feel I am doing well despite my small problems.

The interesting stuff is I realized I would never trade being 61 for youth if I had to go through that skit again. Thus I prefer now than before. In that way, this year has been a great year in learning what is, and what is not.

Best regards to all!

Turned 61 also, another year with a clean cancer free checkup, discovered my honey bee hobby has turned into a full time job. Time scale down the honey production before spring gets here!

I'm 63 now, and had the very time of my life last October. In Nepal, the people are coming to faith in Jesus Christ and new churches are forming so rapidly, that those men who are stepping up to become the pastors of these fledgling churches have less than 2 days of training.

I shared with a friend there the product of my past 11 years of effort in the Scriptures, where I had developed 5 tools that open the entire Bible up to any first-time reader. He asked to see them, and passed them on to his pastor colleague there, who heads up a loose-knit association of more than 300 pastors. This man responded by exclaiming that these were the very answer to his prayers!

They invited me to come and present these to a conference of 50 of these pastors for an entire week. The conference went so well, and so much fruit has been born of it, that I have been invited back to do the same again for 50 more in February.

Since the October conference, I have been told of at least 2 more churches being founded, and at least 106 new converts and believers being added to those 2 churches, and one other already established church.

No fewer than 4 of these pastors have since expressed their gratitude... 3 saying that they would never read the scriptures the same way again for the rest of their lives, and one telling me that since the conference, his church had grown from 40 to 85-90; more than doubling in November alone.

It's been the most gratifying thing I've ever been a part of in my entire life! To all of which, I can only give thanks to God!

So, yeh, something really interesting happened to me this year!

My 401K went from less than an 8% return to just over 30%. Must be magic. Rode ALMOST 8k miles this year, a good bit better than the past 2 years. Need to hit 10K in 2018. I got bigger, older, and grumpier this year.

It was an interesting year for me this year.My busiest year since opening my shop,I paid off (early) the loan I took out to open my shop.I turned 60 this year,I'm healthy, my wife is healthy, my son is a healthy, productive and responsible member of society.

I still have both my mother and father and they are both healthy.I got to ride my bike a lot this year (never enough to suit me though)

I didn't loose any motorcycle keys just before a big ride !
I consider myself a blessed man,thank you Lord !!!

Hurt back doing yard work in June resulting in two weeks off work, painful sciatica that finally resolved itself.
Happened again Oct 30th, resulting in 6 weeks off work, MRI revealing slipped L4-L5 spinal disc. Surgery Dec 4th and back to work this week half time. Hope it’s gonma be a better 2018 when I retire mid Feb. Oxycotin is made from the Devil’s vomit!

My son who is a senior in Gonzaga’s nursing program is also very knowledgeable in crypto currency such as Bitcoin, Monero, etc. Even as a starving student, he has managed to make money (and spend his profits) with some small investments. For Christmas, he bought me one Ethereum at the price of about $600. Today it is at $1,100 and rising steady. Up 50% in the last week. He’ll manage it for me. Will be interesting to see what happens. Ethereum is not a currency like Bitcoin or Monero, but rather a digital utility or infrastructure based on multiple computers around the world vs a centralized server at a bank, government agency, etc. Check it out.

Shores,

I hear ya! Being in investment all my adult life, I have to say, I'm totally thrown by this whole crypto thing! My oldest son is involved... even 'mining' the stuff. He tried to get me into it last summer, when Bitcoin was $3,400. But, for anyone even thinking about it, you need to know this:

Go to: https://coinmarketcap.com/

And look in the upper left for how many of those things there are now... as of this morning, there are, ready for this? 1,384 different cryptos! That's some 50 more than just a week or two ago!!!

And, further, get this now! A PARODY crypto just broke $2 BILLION in market cap! See that here: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/a-parody-cryptocurrency-just-broke-dollar2-billion-for-its-market-cap/ar-BBI4k9P?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=ientp

All this is just to say, as one having 33+ years in the markets, that this can't last, and it's not going to end well. Something is going to go down with the whole crypto-craze, and a lot of people are going to experience a lot of hurt.

I'm not going to get involved, but if I did, I'd only do it with money I'd be willing to throw away, and not risk a dime of what I need! I'm just sayin'!
